(PCM) Leaked dutch FX 8150 review! - Page 42

For the record, I can't wait to build a BD rig later this year (my wife put me on Newegg restriction). It'll be my first AMD build and I can't wait to do my own benchmark testing. One thing I do love about AMD are their mobos. The Sabertooth 990FX looks badass!

That's kinda how she said it when she found out. Except they were more like choked gasps rather than coughs:

"You bought *gasp* two of them *gasp!!"

Not sure if serious. But if you are, You read wrong.

The FX-8150 gets 105 fps on average in this test with a minimum of 75 fps. An incredibly good score, considering the burden that this game can give both the cpu and gpu. If we look at our platform with the i7 965 Nehalem CPU, then we - of course with the same settings - at 93 fps and a minimum of 71 fps. Definitely good to play, but lower than the FX-8150.

I am indiscriminate when it comes to products; if it does what I want it to for the price I'm willing to pay, I'm happy. I've chopped and changed between intel and amd for over 10 years, and you can be damn sure I'll do it again if the opportunity presents itself

If you're arguing that a company is better based on your own principles which don't permit you to buy from the competitor, that's your problem.

Innovation is making a significant architectural advances (e.g. Netburst -> Core 2) or implementing inventive features that are beyond normal expectation. (e.g. HT)

It isn't "Oh, our new products are faster than our old ones."
That is progressive and incremental.

I certainly hope you don't associate innovation with merely performance only.
