If anything I've heard more shadiness come from AMD recently, or do you approve insider training? There's been more then one case of this behavior.

Why have so many CEO's and execs left AMD recently?

That still won't stop me from buying AMD, now or in the future.
Ok, then tell Intel users to stop preaching about so much superiority when the game isn't that wide open and BD seems like its closing in fast. Intel would not have the name and marketshare and therefore R&D funds they have today without their shady business practices and such.

You can't just pick and choose what parts of a story you want to use, its all or nothing, simple as that. People are not being objective and sensible and it seems Intel fans like yourself seem to think their opinion is law.

Yet influenced todays standing of the market in a massive and important way. Therefore it is extremely relevant.

Anyway, The article was bare and sounds like it could have been written on just the last few leaks alone... so who knows. I'm still thinking ~2500K performance on average with an edge in multithreading which means its a good competitor to Intels widely popular 2500K and a nice affordable alternative to Intels 2600K. While the 2600K may offer more performance it seems, the 8150 platform will be reasonably cheaper. The market is looking good. AMD is producing competitive products and Intel has reason to think AMD is doing enough to warrant some innovation.

Win-Win.

IMO, amd should stop wasting thier limited resources on products like bulldozer. Their best chance at making money is the APU. They should invest money on better fabs for APUs as well. The longer AMD playes this game the tougher it will get for them. AMD already has close to 5bn in accumulated losses that doesn't look good at all.

calling last year a decade ago is a bit unfair..

if you run AMD to do benchmarks, you start with a huge handicap.
i'll say it again, software optimization. relax. think.

not a court settlement, but an out-of-court one.
besides, it looks like intel just uses the settlement contract as toilet paper.

1. ICC compiler still uses inferior code path for AMD despite having the same cpu feature sets.

2. strong-arming OEM's still happens, like i linked to previous post.
