[Hexus] Corsair introduces two more Hydro Series liquid coolers - Page 4

Ugh, correct me if I'm wrong, but these aren't aimed at "enthusiasts" as the article says.... Enthusiasts would just do a custom loop.

I love Corsair, and I think the all-in-ones are ok for people that want to dabble with WC, but they don't perform anywhere near a custom loop (even a Rasa Kit smashes the Corsair kits). They perform as similarly priced Air coolers, which is a huge turn off.

Not positive but didn't the original H70 start out around $109? So we took out two fans, made it 12mm thinner and it costs the $20 less? Pretty sure we got jipped there...

...you're also saying the CORE has the same performance as the 12mm thicker version? Not entirely sure how that is possible unless you made some hidden improvements for which I'd love to hear about.

Please correct me if my information is wrong. I love Corsair and I am very close to willing to pay an extra $30 over getting the Antec 620 because I love your warranty but I would like to hear something to improve my woes over this pricing plan.

George, can you provide pictures of the plates because in the picture that I've seen the fins are soldered onto the plate.

Here is the link again.

No offense, but how many versions of this crap do they intend to make? It's like EVGA releasing 50 different versions of the 580

The price dropped $20 MSRP by removing the two fans. The radiator cost was about the same - and like I said, unless you're at about 2000-2500 RPM, the CORE radiator is actually better.

Also, the cold plate is improved.

For the other question about the cold plates, the fins are skived out of the copper on the H70 CORE.

Nothing to see here, just Corsair re-labeling/slightly modifying their old Asetek stock.

I'm willing to bet that a $25 Hyper 212+ performs about the same, if not better than, an H40
