[Hexus] Corsair introduces two more Hydro Series liquid coolers - Page 7

Like others, I'm waiting for a 38mm 120x2 or even, dare I hope, a 60mm 120x2. My only goal with AIO solutions is to convert my friends to water cooling.

I could probably do it now with the Kuhler 620/920 but I've never used Antec.

I have many Corsair products and have never had to return them which is both fantastic and disappointing. I'd like to experience this god-tier CS I keep hearing about.

Is it a defect if my RAM won't run at 1866 no matter what? lul.

Back on topic, I suppose having $10 'steps' in performance makes sense in the market, because it's so easy to rationalize the next step up. I rationalized my way up from a 560ti to a 590 in less than a week.

It'll be interesting to see how sales go.

Any idea why the UK pricing seems terrible? If it is around £47 then that puts it pretty much next to the H60 which costs only a little more but also the Antec unit. Both of which are superior. If it was more around ~£40 it would be neat.

They'll probably work with you to test the RAM. A big plus if you can test it using their settings on more than one motherboard. If all else fails and the RAM just won't run at the specified speeds, they'll probably have you RMA the RAM and send you a pre-tested or superior kit. CorsairGeorge, are you reading this?

I don't like the block but if I was to get that I'd probably cover it with CF vinyl or something.

I love how some of you were poking fun at these new coolers, and even our Corsair rep here at OCN.

I'm personally looking forward to the H40 myself. Not for actual performance, but to build a nice quiet HTPC build that runs cool. There's no way I'll fit a good air cooler in such a small space, but that H40 I could.

So yeah, once my HTPC builds get off the ground, you can bet I'll be looking at buying 2 of those. I've been happy enough with my H50's...just happy enough to keep them around until I can afford to go full custom loop though.

Respect, it's something people no longer have for anyone else.

Also, agreed, I'm in for an H40 as soon as it gets a MIR as all the Hydro's do, or free prime shipping [most likely], whichever comes first. Easy quick upgrade to my mom's loud cooler

Quick edit too, the H70 CORE is a brilliant idea. Shave off some cost by not providing fans, since really most of us are going to rant anyways how our fans are greater in some way shape or form. Yes, I'm guilty of this too, I prefer my silent M12S2's to any stock fan, some prefer AP15's etc.

I love how Corsair reads forums [not just this one] produces a product that hits most, if not all of our complaints on the head and fixes them, then they get attacked for it. Pay for a $200 set of speakers, sure. $200 headphones, sure. $200 motherboard, sure. OMG A COOLER THAT'S $10 MORE?! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. It's pathetic the attitude people have in today's day and age.

Also, the cold plate is improved.

For the other question about the cold plates, the fins are skived out of the copper on the H70 CORE.
Thanks for your answers George, can't wait to see reviews of new vs old H70. I am all for a thinner rad setup working better. I traditionally like my fans quieter so this should work out better for me in the long run.

And also insanely loud? Why don't you guys just sell aftermarket brackets for GPUs.. It would be cheaper than making a whole unit dedicated to them (like Asetek)... :c

There was even a blog post by you guys about it.. come oooon.

They are just loud for the static pressure/cfm compared to some other fans.
