560 ti hawk problem

Thread Starter
hey i got an serious problem here.
I bought an 560 ti hawk default oc and it gives by far bad gameplay. It isnt smooth with latency in bfbc2 and css.

I know my system can handle the 560 ti hawk non oc (nvidea 560 ti reference clock). That one worked super smooth on the same system.
I dit make an rma because it whas not the oc version the shop told me it whas

I disabled pci-e spread spectrum in my bios an it helped a little bid but still its not smooth (like mouse lag).
I can still change this card with an 6950. Also the first 560 ti hawk (non oc version) did gave me better colours in 2d windows and in games.
Maybe there is someone that can help me to make an desicion, buying the 6950 for faster (non mouselag) gamaplay and better colors. Or stay with this card?

System: intel i7 870 stock speeds, msi 560 ti hawk, 4 gb 1333 mhz, asus p7p55d, ocz modxtreme pro 600w.

hey, welcome to OCN

First, I'd recommend filling in your system specs so you dont have to repost them in every thread
http://www.overclock.net/specs.php?do=addsystem

Okay, have you done all your driver updates?

yes got all the drivers. thanks for welkoming and i filled in some specs. everything is working ok fps is good settings ingame are good. i tryed all the drivers and have alsow micro stuttering like the big threat about it. i dont wory about it all. My biggest consurn are the colors and the smoothness ingame.
Counterstrike source is pritty smooth (stil not smooth anough to play on high level mixes) but bfbc2 is so laggy. I tryed all nvidea drivers and colour settings on my monitor. The image quality isnt sharp like the 560 hawk i had. meaby a bad 560 ti hawk but i just wont give up that easy.

Disable vsync in the games you are playing/disable vsync in Nvidia Control Panel?

IIRC, all graphics cards give you the same display, unless you calibrated your display with one card or used a VGA cable vs. a DVI cable.

I'd RMA it then.

Your setup should be more than enough to run bad company 2 at a nice frame rate AND they gave you a card that you didn't ask for, so your well within your right to get your money back or exchange for a different card.

6950 should do you nicely

yep i know vsync. i put it off allready. V-sync describes the problem exactly (unsmooth gameplay). I rma it an get the 6950. I have to start a new tread about witch one i guess in the radeon section. I can buy the saphire 1gb dual fann its 30 euro cheaper than the 2 gb version but it doesnt have memory sinks on it. Thers 29 cm space left so the asus gig 2,5 slotter wont fit i guess.
