Terrible build, for $20 more the CPU/motherboard you could get an i5-2500K + Z68.

Either wait for BD or go with Intel.

Going from HD 57xx series to GTX 550 Ti isn't much of an upgrade. Save for a better video card.

that drive was on sale for $25 at one time

get the samsung f3 1t for $50, well worth the extra $5

if you want to upgrade to the bd later, get the 955 for $105

He should just wait if he wants to upgrade to BD otherwise he's spending $105 on a useless processor when he obviously has a budget. That $105 would be better invested in a video card.

The 2 most important things for gaming are the CPU and the video card. Don't skimp on those. If you want to go with AMD wait a couple of days, BD is coming out supposedly.

What's your budget?

I would consider a i5-2500k build with at least a 560Ti video card.
