Headphones recommendations .

Hey guys . I'm looking for a pair of headphones that have a lot of bass .

I like to listen to dubstep on my 5.1 system , but in the evening i have to turn the volume down . And i don't like that .

A friend of mine said that a pair of Sennheisser HD238 will do .

I don't really know . Are they worth it ? What else do you recommend ?

The shop i can order from is this , and the limit is 300 RON ( ~ 100$ ) .

On , and the sound card i'll have will be an Asus Xonar DX .

I personally like the Sony MDR V-6's, but only if you have an EQ to turn down the 2000khz range; they're a little harsh, but have satisfying bass response. Whatever you choose, it will defintely be closed back, open cans typically have weaker lows.

Edit: another thing that I can't recommend enough is going to a local professional audio store and testing out some of the names you hear floating around on the internet. You might end up liking something completely different than the person referring you.

There's a store called PLAY here in romania . I might check that out tomorrow .

I saw a pair of Audio-Tehnica AD700 ( Second Hand ) for the price of the HD238 new ...

But that friend said that for what i want , they're not good .

Any more recommendations ?

Your friend is right. Check if you can order from Thomann in Romania. They have a pretty good selection of headphones for European customers.

EDIT: You can, but it seems the prices are all out of whack...
