Help me pick my motherboard--can't figure this out.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum I discovered it the other day doing a little research in to my build (My first computer build). I was wondering if I could get some advice/opinions on some motherboards I have picked out already. Since the asus maximus iv extreme-z won't fit in my antec 902 v3 case since it is extended atx I had to go and look into these mobos:

THIS is the one I really am thinking about getting--
ASRock Z68 PROFESSIONAL GEN3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157263

or

ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131753

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131730

Now, I just really want a motherboard thats going to be reliable and not crap out on me a year down the road. I heard ASRock is ASUS affordable brand but it doesn't seem to look like that at the moment. lol. I've seen threads asking which motherboard out of these is the best but I haven't seen a real definitive answer on terms of reliablility for heavy duty gaming in the long term. I'm making a build thats going to last me 4 years through out college without having to upgrade much and i'd like my mobo to last not die on me. So whatever brand you guys have the best experience with let me know.

Thanks a ton I really appreciate any help I can get

did you look at these. asrock and MSI both confirmed using IB samples on their boards. which means that they could last much longer. by the time SB isnt where you need it to be you can upgrade to IB. and not that its a big deal but of the 3 you listed the Asrock is the only one that has pcie gen 3(supported by IB). MSI confirmed performance boost of pcie3.0 over 2.0 with IB support (somthing to think about).

both boards are good, and cheaper than the ones you listed. ive got the MSI board and im very pleased with it. you dont sacrifice performance for price with either of these, and get everything that the others you listed had to offer as well.

IF what you really wanted was the Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z ... but size was the only issue ... get it's little brother ... the Asus Maximus IV GENE-Z68 ... without sacrificing much of anything except an extra PCI-e slot that you weren't probably going to use anyways
