Step 1: Click link.
Step 2: Switch to 1080p then fullscreen.
Step 3: Have renewed faith in PC gaming.

Consoles = Play flash in the pan games, then once bored with "the latest game", you go and sell it back to GameStop. Wash, rinse, repeat.

PC Gaming = Play games, Mod Games, Play at highest resolution, Direct X 11, and keep them forever (Steam, Impulse, Origin), Play older games from old school (G.O.G.), Play old school console games and Arcade titles (console emulators, MAME etc.)

Consoles are there for toddlers, kids, grandparents, and other people that are not mentally capable of using a computer.

Im not here to rant, I just need some level headed person to advise ne whether or not to make a switch before I upgrade again

I just got a decent gaming pc this june for the first time in years, and I feel the exact opposite of you. I see no reason to ever go to consoles again. The exclusives are nice, but that's it. I tried playing BF3 beta the other night on the xbox with a friend, and it looked really fuzzy and kind of gave me a headache after getting use to the pc version. Even when I turned on the xbox the dashboard was hard to look at. I think the first few years of a console are nice, but once tech on pc gets to far ahead the consoles just can't even come close.

It doesn't have to be one or the other. Perhaps take the money you were gonna spend on upgrades and get a console that best suits your tastes, giving you the best of both worlds and, more importantly, options.

Console exclusive? You get to play it. Borked PC port? Grab the game on consoles.

I've been gaming for nearly 15 years and six of those have been with consoles and a decent PC. While I would stick with consoles if I had to, I wouldn't give up either willingly.

PC games have the best multiplayer/social games as far as I'm concerned. They also have the most mod ability and extendability out of all of the other platforms. That and the fact that when you upgrade a PC or build one to be good at gaming, it also ends up being good at many other things also. The consoles also have some excellent console exclusive titles too such as MGS, Uncharted, FF, Demon Souls, etc....

PC dedicated for gaming is a waste of money to me, gaming on console is just as fun imho and your friends can also join. tbh, most "gaming" pcs just sit there browsing internet most of the time (or folding like I do )

I enjoy my pc...graphics are good. Games are getting boring, they are all the same, just with new names, and slightly spruced up graphics from their predecessors. There are like 5000 FPS games...and all the multiplayer games seem to fit in like 1 of 2 categories...

Come out with some new material all ready...

I concur.

I already had faith in PC gaming, but just to reiterate I turned my headphones up, and let the awesomeness flow into my mind.

(Too bad the game isn't that organized... I'd kill to actually have proper support from an attack heli...)

PC's = open platform with tons of games, consoles = closed platform and they need a refresh really bad because how old they are IMHO.
