GTX460 Talon Hawk Beeping

When playing stressing games such as BC2 and Dirt3, my video card beeps. It doesn't happen all the time and is random. I'll be playing BC2 for hours and it won't beep, then hop on with some friends on Skype and instant beeps. During heavy load the gpu hits 62C at 99% load. (Dirt3 and Kombuster at the same time, hottest I could get it when I thought of testing heat.)

I've contacted MSI and all they said was to update drivers, which I did even though it had nothing to do with the problem. They also said 60C was hot.. ok? I know the thermal sensor has issues on a lot of the 460 hawks and I did mention that in the report to MSI but I think they ignored it.

Is there any way to shut up that damn sensor without cutting the speaker? Or should I just keep persisting with MSI for an RMA?

Don't bother if there is a history of this card failing. Persist until you can get an RMA. Speak to a supervisor so they can approve it.

One of my cards beeps, too. But it only beeps randomly when idle, and I mainly use my rig for heavy gaming sessions, so no problem to me. If it does matter to you, I say try to get a RMA. 460 Hawk/Hawk Talon beeping seems to be a common issue and a lot of people have successful RMA with this problem.

I've emailed MSI after I applied for an RMA because I remembered something, when I got the card from newegg there was a nice scratch on the side from the previous owner. (Card was bought open box)

I know that an RMA can be denied for physical damage, which is why I emailed them but it's been over a week and I haven't gotten a reply back so I ask one simple question:

Should I just send it in and see what happens? Call them first since they didn't reply to email? It's already been atleast 3 months since I bought the card from newegg too so I can't return it.
