Looks like you're getting good advice here already.

I'm surprised your 620 is giving you so much trouble, though. I made it to 3.25 on stock voltage with the stock cooler, and it's been stable for well over a year.

Have you tried unlocking cores on yours? With that much trouble, I almost wonder if you have one of the dud Phenom II's that failed QC and got sold as an Athlon II.

IIRC, only the Phenoms II X4 9X0T are Thuban based. But since i'm not that involved in those news, i won't speculate

I don't know why I said that the way I did. Of course, you won't get any more cores on an Athlon II X4 that was a dud Thuban, but you might get an L3 cache. It's just strange to me he's having that kind of trouble if it's an ordinary Propus-based 620 on a M4A785. None I've ever worked with had any trouble reaching 3.25.

Grats on the overclock - Personally with that motherboard, I would at least attempt to unlock the processor, I think that one can unlock extra L3 cache up to the 6mb like the Phenom II. Worst case it doesn't work and you just turn off unleashing mode - best case You get another small performance boost.

Would you be able to take a screenshot with a few CPU-Z windows open - the Main, Memory, and SPD tabs? I'm curious as to what all your settings are

One weird thing I noticed is that when I change the voltage of my ram to 1.6v CPU-Z still says it's at 1.5v on the SPD tab. Any reason why?

That's just an information of spec speeds, timings for each spee, and respective voltage

Not the actual voltage selected. For that, try HWMonitor

Under the CPU config tab I have Advanced Clock Calibration disabled, not really sure what that does for me. I just restarded my PC and pressed 4 at the load up screen to run the core unlocker. I got a post screen saying my overclock failed. Also, I have GPU and PCIE overclocking set as manual but haven't changed anything. I went back into the bios, changed nothing, saved and exit, go no errors, core unlocker was still activated and said i have 4 cores unlocked but no level 3 cache

And now that I have core unlocker activated my cpu temp sensors don't work lol
