Finish me off....

Thread Starter
Alright-have built what I have listed in my sig over the last few days, and have to finish up the rest slowly. I am trying to wait for Bulldozer... but some of the early.... benchmarks... arent looking too promising

Things i am wanting to do-
Thinking Corsair Watercooling unit for CPU (H50/60/80) or an air cooler
Sound card/headset/mic for gaming
Possibly X-Fire the 6870... but I havent even gotten the 6870 yet (should be here tomorrow)

Obviously upgrade the CPU... but... like i said... waiting on the bulldozer to come out and see whats up.

Any other ideas? Or where would you guys start? My monitor is a 22" Vizio LED HD TV native 1080P 1920/1080 monitor.....

Stick with DH14 or Silver Arrow if you can. Corsair Hydro series are not the best given their price (any high end air cooler could've easily beat them).

Sound card/headset/mic for gaming
Budget?

Try 6870 first before jumping to Crossfire. Chances are if you don't play high demanding games 6870 should serves you well for 1080p

^^ My answer.

my budget for my next upgrade is about $150-$200.

I was recommended the AD700 and an XFI Gamer card.

Wait for bulldozer, Otherwise if it turns out bloody fantastic, You will have regrets.

Just wait till it comes out and when it does, Then compare it to sandy bridge price/performance wise.

While its evident that Bulldozer is going to be an absolute performer and may even trounce Sandy Bridge, It's a real bugger that Intel's got Ivy Bridge in the works as well. Intel have always been stealthy killers. They unceremoniously attacked AMD with a surprise release of Sandy Bridge. Let's hope it doesn't happen this time though.
