Would these even be worth the trouble? I would ditch the monitors, maybe shed the cases and put them in some sort of a rack. Or bad idea?

No...the PPD they would offer would be minuscule when compared to the PPD offerings of a modern rig and graphics card.

IMO it wont be worth ur electrical bill

I agree. They all are unicore processors and you would likely blow the lot out of the water for points folding on a $100 GTX 460 card. And use a lot less electricity.
