Recommend me an affordable/value Camera

Thread Starter
I'm new to the whole photography thing, but our family welcomed into our world a baby girl over a year ago, and photos are expensive from local photographers (or even walmart). I have an excellent photo printer, but I need a higher quality camera, and maybe some good lenses to go with them.

My budget is $200-500, preferably less.

See if you can pick a Rebel XS/XSi or a D4060 on craigs or OCN.

If you're looking for professional quality photos at home, I'd honestly reconsider.

It's not the equipment that counts but the photographer. Without the right experience, you will not get the same quality photos, even if you invest in a $2k 5D Mk II with a $1.5k 35L.

Buy my XSi - its a great starter camera, and a pretty sweet deal if I do say so myself.
