Windows doesn't boot after connecting HITACHI Deskstar HD32000?

I recently added one of my hard drives (was used for as external storage for movies) to my PC and now my PC doesn't load windows. It bypasses the POST screen but doesn't seem to find my drive with the OS. I have tried different SATA ports and even tried connecting to a PCI-E sata card but no Luck. The drive works find when I put it back in teh external enclosure but seems like my windows MBR has issues with it. I cannot format the drive since I don't have back up of the data and don't wanna play around with teh MBR too much.

Any suggestions?

This is the drive:

HITACHI Deskstar HD32000 IDK/7K (0S00164) 2TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Have you checked your BIOS boot options? Perhaps the new drive got set a higher priority than the existing boot drive?

The priority of boot is Haddrive first and then DVD

Just to be specific, in your BIOS now the boot priority lists your Western Digital drive then the DVD drive. Is the Hitachi drive even listed as an available option? The BIOS should still recognize the drive as connected.
