Where is all this used HDD space coming from?

My Windows, User, and Program files folders only have 30GB of things installed... But for some reason 45GB of my SSD is filled up!!! Everyday, more space gets filled up for no reason at all! What is going on?

Do you use any sort of video editing applications? It could be using that drive as a scratch disk. Also many programs use the appdata folder even if they are installed on a different drive.

Temporary/Hidden files

And if your restore points are on the SSD

system restore is saving things, your page file is growing with extended internet-game use, and did you set it up properly?

Nope, I did a clean install like 1 week ago... Before I did not have this issue. Now my SSD space is becoming less every single day for no reason at all!

It sounds like System Restore to me. Do you have it enabled?

(also, you can disable the Page File and Hibernation to free up more space)

Believe it or not, it is not necessary to follow that guide. Properly setting up a system with a solid state drive is about the same as setting it up with just hard drives.

On top of that, I have come across dozens of people who followed that guide and ended up with nothing but problems which were only fixed by formatting, starting over, and not following that guide.

Oh right, I think you posted a guide on how to do this right? Can you post the location of the SSD tweaking guide here?

Also, is it too late to disable superfetch and all those other useless things? Would I need to perform a clean install to do those things?

Sounds like System Restore. You can limit the amount of space it uses, check system protection under computer properties.
