Creating recovery drive for Win7?

hi
First of all , sorry for this really noob-ish questions , but since did not know , so thought of asking....
i plan to install Win 7 Home premium 64 bit on my PC , how do i create a recovery drive , its there in my current XP , by the name of Recovery and occupies 7-8 GB on my HDD , but i have not installed it , some one else did ...,,

Can u please tell how to do it.

I have never seen that option during Win 7 install. This is what I did, after finished installation + motherboard and chipset driver, from Backup and Restore menu in Control Panel, select to back up to another drive and create repair disk if you like.
