Time to make a decision... but I could use some help

so as of now I have the Logitech G510... I love it but I hate it at the same time.
Pros:
backlighting
LCD screen

Cons:
buttons hard to push
only activate when fully bottomed out
spacebar only works if hit dead center

So as much as i love the LCD screen and the backlighting I think I need to return this keyboard and get something else that will not make my fingers tired from constantly having to bottom the keys out. So naturally im looking at some mechanical keyboards so I will not have to bottom out the keys.

I only want to get a keyboard that would be easy to return at a local store so I looked at best buy and wal mart.

I am looking at either:
Meka G1
Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

Meka G1 has black cherry switches and the Razer has Blue so the Razer makes more noise obviously, but the razer has a backlight which will make it easier for me to play in the dark.

I mainly play FPS games so i dont know if that makes a huge difference.

My only experience with razer was the Razer onza xbox controller which was pure garbage... so im worried about the razer quality. The volume of the button clicking from the blue switches is fairly loud to me, but maybe I can just get used to it??

I can get the razer blackwidow ultimate for 100 bucks and I can get the Meka G1 for 120.

What do you guys think? I just cant handle the fatigue from trying to hold a key down on this G510 for such a long period of time.

I have used an Apple keyboard for the past year now for about everything and its fantastic (except for some keys being in different "places") It feels like typing on a new Mac laptop. Dunno if that is what you are looking for though

You should be able to try out the 2 keyboards before you buy it right?

I never understood the need of backlighting for gamers, especially fps. Do you look down everytime you press a key? In a fast pace game, wouldn't that cost you your life? And if you don't, do you really need backlighting? I always figured gamers would be quick at learning how to touch type since you can't be looking down at the keys.

If you can't handle fatigue, a heavy switch like blacks aren't for you. They suck for typing (IMO at least, others like them)

I often take my hand off the board to do other things or adjust headphones etc.. then need to re-place my fingers on the board. So the blacks are pretty stiff? would blues be easier on the fingers? wouldnt blacks be easier than what the G510 are since they dont have to bottom out?

I think backlighting would be more used for typing in the dark? If you're used to FPS gaming, you should be pretty used on where the WASD on your keyboard is

Not too stiff, but enough to make it uncomfortable after awhile when typing. I have a filco with blacks that I've only used for a few times for that very reason. Personally, I like browns and blues. But lately I've been using an ssk which is buckling spring so maybe I'll get used to blacks and my opinion might change.

Try to give both a test run of you don't take a hit on restocking fees. Everybody is different when it comes to keyboard feel.

And yeah, if you have been using a pc for most your life... There is no excuse to not know where the home row is lol.

Go for the safe switch and get something with browns. Chances are you're going to like them. Since you're ordering anyway, get a leopold from elitekeyboards.

Also, you shouldn't game in the dark. It's going to ruin your eyes.
