Final parts for dream system , suggestions please

Thread Starter

Finally got my dream system nearly complete -- got a wild hair up my arse and spent way more for a computer than ever (usually buy mid to lower end gaming parts that I end up unhappy with a year later)

Totally in awe of this beast - upgraded from a pentium 4 with a 7600 gt on a 19" CRT to this overclocked to 4.6 ghz 2500k with 580 GTX and nvidia 3D vision on Alienware optx 2310 monitor

Only thing I need now are good sound system and SSD + a very good mouse n keyboard;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823239015
= steelseries keyboard

= Bowers and Wilkins MM-1 speakers - high end audio that will save money on having to buy good audio card, as it uses usb

Really not sure about which SSD yet -- any suggestions? I'd like to get 1 128GB ; Perhaps 3 more Hitachi green HDs for storage (going with green to ensure I have enough PSU wattage left over for future 580gtx SLI)

As for audio - I love high end audio, mostly for music. I thought about going for surround sound but those MM-1 look to be so sweet and just the right size for my desk.

Mouse and Keyboard: depends on what you need / like. I use Razer for my mouse and keyboard but could have easily gone with Steelseries as well. I think the final thing that made the difference for me was the steelseries I was looking at did not have lights and I do things at night and in the dark. That was my final reason for one over the other. Here are some things to look at. I am sure others will have ideas as well.
For my own use I have the Razer Naga Epic for mouse and Razer Anansi for the keyboard.

A good sound system would be: http://audioengineusa.com/Store/Audioengine-5
A good SSD would be Corsair GT Series: http://www.corsair.com/ssd/force-ser...ard-drive.html or OCZ.
Keyboard & Mouse: Go Razer, Logitech, Steelseries, Roccat, or old school das

Sweet jesus, no no no no no no no no no.

If you love high end audio, please get a proper setup. For the price of those crappy USB speakers you could do, SO much better.

I have a Razer Blackwidow Mechanical keyboard and a Razer Abyssus mouse, and lemme tell ya - they're awesome beyond comprehension.

For the SSD, I know you can get an OCZ Vertex 3 120GB for around $200, though it's just my preference.

SSD - Vertex 2 (non Extended edition) or Vertex 3.
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate
Sound: soundcard/amp/receiver....anything but what you chose.

Lol that's one hell of an upgrade from what you had. That's like going from the invention of the wheel to the motorcar. Nice system bro, enjoy!

EDIT: For an SSD get yourself a Crucial M4 128GB (which is actually 120GB other than what advertisements say). Very reliable...

SSD: if you want SPEED, get a Corsair Force GT or OCZ Vertex3
If you want RELIABILITY: Crucial M4 or Intel

Not saying Corsair or OCZ are bad, just have some wrinkles to iron out
