I have one in my case and I love though it is audible. I have the lastest version 1k RPM fans and even those maxed out are silent compared to it. But I've decided on already changing them out for some yate loons.

So YES, it IS a smart idea. I mean, that's what it's made for...

I don't see why not. I have had my H60 since I built my PC 4 months ago, and it has been awesome. I replaced the fan and went with two non-PWM GT AP-13's. Some people may think that the CFM on the 13's is too low to cool a radiator, but I have found it to perform great and be quiet at the same time

Here is a SS of my rig folding for ~15 hours. OC is at 4.5 GHz. Ambient temp about 24 Celsius.

Wow i thought the AP-14's would be a bit low to use but i guess they will be great as your using the AP-13's

Well for general case fans, I think the AP-13's would not be powerful enough because they probably can't even push the air to the back of the case, but for something upclose and personal like a radiator in push/pull config, I think they do quite nicely and don't even make the slightest bit of noise.

I may get criticized by some more experienced WC's in this forum for what I just said, but from personal experience, I have had success with no issues

But back on topic, the H60 is a great cooler. I believe it performs even better than some $80+ air coolers out there (and the H60 can be had for less than $60 after MIR).
