Sharing Internet Connection Problems! (Please Help)

Thread Starter
Hey everyone!

So I just finished my build, and where I live there's only wireless connection.
Due to lazyness I have yet to acquire a wireless ethernet card for my desktop, so I want to use my laptop as an accesspoint to connect to the internet.
Now I have read and tried several tutorials on the internet, but none of them have worked.
My problem is this; When I connect my desktop to the laptop, the connection ends up as an "unidentified network" and I can not add it my homegroup or anything. I've tried in advanced settings, to turn ICS on, and giving IP address and so on. Been at this for an hour. But it just does not want to connect through my laptop...
Need help!

Any suggestions ?

Laptop - Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Desktop - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Thank you!

You need to set both computers network cards to obtain IPs, and then go to the laptop, go on to the properties of the wireless connection and tick allow other computers to connect through this connection to the internet.. done!

thanks, but been there, done that =P

still getting nothing!

Added a picture of what the network and sharing center is telling me!
This is on the laptop, on the desktop, the "unidentified network" is the same
Also after I tried what you just suggested (tried one more time just now... =/)

Sorry to butt in here, but you could bridge your wireless and your LAN on your laptop and then connect the PC to the laptop via ethernet, I think you will get internet that way. Worth a shot. I have done it before...

well, that works to share but the connect between the PC and Laptop via ethernet seems to be the issue.
