It would be nice if I could drop in a BD then get a 990FX-UD5 or a Crosshair V later, but my 4+1 phase probably couldn't handle a FX 8150.
I hope that ends up being true,2500K performance in some applications, and possible 2600K performance in games would be great.

Maxon Computer uses Intel software tools for better performance
Nice find,I wasn't aware that Maxon's software was Intel sided.

Yeah I think I will,I've seen the ASUS CHV UEFI,it's sweet.
Gigabyte's "Hybrid UEFI" is just BIOS with mouse support, but they still make nice boards.

Every thing I have seen has suggested that BD uses less power than Phenom.

And yes the CH-V UEFI is UBER SEXY! It even has like Stupid people OC support all the way to extremely complicated Power settings. The board its self is Good, but The UEFI... FANTASTIC! the sound chip is also mentionable for a On-board alternative. Sound blaster Console Is NICE.

The Software that comes with this board is "to me" almost worth as much as the board its self. Too many things to mention

Ya you should be able to run AM3+ Bulldozers(The September/August BIOS for your motherboard is for the AGESA 0.0.9.1/0.0.9.2 FX CPUs)

3dMark Vantage gets a lot of weird results on newer CPUs

3dMark 11 gets better results so I rather say the benchmark is crazy and out of whack

Probably will be limited by motherboards more than anything, have any AM3+ boards hit >300Mhz reference clock?

It's more likely that the microcode has to be changed quite a bit to get the most performance out of BD, as it's a completely new architecture vs rehashed Athlon Classic.

Now I'm here trying to figure out what cheap CPU to buy so I can update my BIOS, since all my friends are either Intel fanboys or socket AM2 users...
My D3 won't have a Bulldozer sitting in it soon :\\...
My guess is that this is necessary, since the Bulldozers being released have a different stepping from the ones given out to motherboard companies for testing.
Could be wrong tho....
You shouldn't need to get an AM3 chip, BD should work, albeit not at full speed. But since when do you need a fast 8 core CPU for flashing a BIOS?

looks like AMD is doing some website maintenance, this could be more new news incoming?
or just normal maintenance?but it would be great if they were doing a BD update

Everything I have seen puts it on par with the 2600K in multithread and single core performance is on level with the 2500K
so basically your saying BD on par with 2600k? since a 2600k single thread is about the same as a 2500k single thread correct?... its just that 2600k has hyper threading?
Also just what have you "seen" that makes you believe this? every supposed leaked bench iv seen show it much slower then the 2500k in single, even worse than 1100t?
Not trying to dis, just curious is all.
