Thread Starter
This is upsetting that we now only have 1 Thread to converse about BD. I liked jumping between this thread and the one in Rumors Oh well it is the weekend. Not much news pops up then
post #92 of 401
Did anyone else see the special edition FX with the included Antec 920 type WC unit in the thread that got locked( rumors section)?

Alot (most?) of these unlock to dual core chips as well.

Part # with a heatsink only costs $10 more.
Will this thing run 1333mhz RAM?
I initially planned to get a cheap Athlon X2 or something to flash my BIOS, but it turns out they only support up to 1066mhz RAM or something..

I think AMD will price it around $300 with the WC. The actual cooler(looks like a Antec 920) probably doesn't cost $100.

My board still only has a beta BIOS,but of course it isn't AM3+,even though Gigabyte claims it is "AM3+ CPU ready".

I may be wrong, but pretty sure that's old, old (old, old, old) news and it's not allowed these days. Pretty sure that's one of the things that got them in trouble and cost them a ton in fines. Again, I may be wrong.

My reasoning makes more sense when you consider how strongly Deneb/Thuban are in Cinebench.
