i am planning to buy and use an ssd for my next system..i am really confused about
1.using ssd as a boot drive
2.using ssd as cache for srt technology

i cannot afford more than 120 gb ssd...
so even if i use my HDD as data disk then where will be the space for the steam folder and my games which will be in c drive and also war of warcraft which should only be placed in c drive public folder!!!

that 128 gb is too small space for steam and warcraft!! please help me..

Why does Steam or WoW need to reside on the C:\\ ?

I have Steam and WoW on one 80GB Intel x-25M SSD. my F:\\ Drive BTW

Installed at one time I have.

WoW <30GB

MW2 6.7GB

TF2 2GB

L4D2 GB

CSS <1GB

Duke Nukem Forever IDKGB

I mean maybe you are playing serious MMOs or playing a lot of the newer FPS games.

But, 120GB should be enough for the games that you really want on SSD. 9Windows takes less than 14GB for install)

Seriously though...SSD provides no performance gains in games...Aside from Faster loading times.

*Note:
In WoW so what if you load the instance first...you will just be sitting and waiting on the rest of your party.

Some of the newer FPS games if you load before everyone else and try and spawn you are instantly killed (ie: BFBC 2)

I have used an 80gb ssd as my boot drive with my loading time critical steam games on it, just move the other games to your mechanical drive using a program called steam mover, it works great!
