yea it's fine.. i don't know how to compensate for efficiency (what is the formula?)

this was peak that i caught with a camera... it was constantly between 1.1 and 1.2kw

assuming 85% efficiency that would be 1377 / 100 * 85 = 1170w which is fine for the hcp1200. IIRC it can do atleast 1500w and more.

The calculation for efficiency is actually very easy:

For whatever efficiency you want to calculate, place a decimal in front of it and multiply that by the wattage pulled at the wall.

So if you want to assume 85% efficiency for the 1377W wall draw in the latest photo, then you'd multiply .85 by 1377 (or 1377 by .85, whichever number you want to add first). 1377 x .85 is 1170.45, which means 1170.45W. Since "85%" is an approximation, we can just say "about 1170W".

Actually at those wattage loads, 85% efficiency would be rather low for an HCP-1200. More like ~87% efficient. Makes it 1198W.

Congrats on getting a PSU that's LITERALLY the perfect size.

Some of them. The AX1200, probably. The Enermax 1250W+ units and such also probably.

The Superflower built units (Rosewill, Kingwin, Xion, NZXT, etc.) probably not, nor the Channel Well PUC units (Thermaltake Toughpower) nor those CoolerMaster units from Enhance.
