Which monitor(s) for crossfire 6970s ?

Thread Starter
Hi Guys

I need help finding a good screen for my crossfire 6970s. I read on a thread this week that a single screen is useless with two 6970s in crossfire.

My current screen is actually a HD LCD TV
Its an LG 42LD630 (42 inches) 240Hz

Screen size (in.) 42
Display Type LCD Full HD (1080p) Yes
Resolution 1920 x 1080
Contrast Ratio 80,000:1
TruMotionâ„¢ 240 Hz
Colours Reproduction (R,G,B) Bit 10 bits
Response Time 2.2ms
Viewing Angle 178°/178°
Life Span (hr) 60,000 hr

I heard that my Crossfire 6970s were overkill for that screen and I need better monitor.

What would you suggest to exploit all the power my 6970s can produce?
Any suggestions is appreciated: eyefinity

Thank you very much for your help

It really depends on the game and settings and what FPS you like to run, if you like everything maxed at 60+ FPS, your 6970's aren't overkill, otherwise I'd recommend something such as a dell U2711, though it will cut your FPS in 1/2 as the resolution is ~ double.

Well if you like your screen there is no reason to change it... but the dell u2711 is good or you get 3 22-25" 1080p monitors for eyefinity.

Hmm can't agree. I game on a 25" 1080p monitor on my system. It's a thing of beauty.
