Advise for new rig, i3 to i7

Thread Starter
Recently I've been able to sell most of my rig with a profit, so I am willing to upgrade to i7.........but not SB because prices are still high for my budget.

Planed upgrade is: EVGA X58 Sli Micro, i7 9xx, 12gb RAM, 64gb SSD + 1Tb HDD. Will keep VGA, PSU, Case.

I will be importing most of the parts so I have a few questions:

Will still I get one hell of a punch with this upgrade, if so, for how long??? Main use for my rig is gaming, watching movies, doing school/work stuff.

Wich SSD will give me best performance for 100usd price bracket??? I heard Crucial M4 is a good performer.

For i7 systems, is it better higher memory frequency or tighter timings?? let's say 12gb cas 9 1600mhz (90dls) or cas 8 (120dls).

How well my H50 will perform against core i7??? because I have the chance to sell it for a H80 price but is there really a big difference between those two???? or I can just sell it and get another H50 with a profit.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY ADVISE.

PD: Links for best RAM, WC, SSD will be greatly appreciated.

PD2: Sorry for my bad grammar, english is not my native language.

I think you're wrong, sandy is a better option

2500K (less then 10 percent slower than 2600K, less then 5% in gaming) 190$
ASUS P8P67 (excelent budget board, good for oc, supports ivy and PCI-E 3.0 according to ASUS) 114$
8GB RAM 50-60$

Do not buy an SSD with Sandforce controller, they are not reliable. For example 30 percent failures for Vertex 3, check it on newegg review page.
