So the thought of cheating will get you banned? Or do you actually have to run a cheat?

I know some people who don't cheat and are just really really good at FPS games. They have a nature given talent with these games, if they have a 150-3 streak I guess people will say he's cheating right?

Yup. If you even THINK of cheating, you'll get banned. Dice can read your mind, didn't you know? rolleyes.gif

Get real. There isn't a way in hell someone will go 150/3 in a BF game, not in a jet, not in a tank, not in a heli, without hacking. No way. Ever.

Cheaters deserve to have their accounts banned, not just the game, but their entire system as well so even if they buy another copy, they're forced to buy a new motherboard/HDD to get back on.

Actually, I went 53-0 as an engineer one time in a BC2 game using a tank. No one called me a cheater because they tried to take me out but I had smoke and my gunner had armor.

If people would quit cheating you would see more people saying "gg" and "ns" etc. but it's so widespread that when they get shot they think there is no possible way someone could have killed them like they did.

You cannot say that. I remember going 61-2 in a BF2 match once and I'm not very good at FPS games. Strange things happen sometimes. The problem is, most people can't stand the fact that there are some really, really good players out there that can absolutely mop the floor in a public match.

People should just suck it up and stop thinking everyone is cheating instead of being babies about it.

As long as it requires multiple screenshots, videos and players vouching for a ban, I'm ok with this. But being able to take out every helicopter (well, almost) on foot has gotten me kicked too many times to count. Because it's impossible for someone to be good with an AT4.

he was saying 150-3, not 61-2.

i witnessed a sniper in bc2 go 100-1 and i called him a hacker the whole round. then i hopped on his team and watched how horrible the other team really was. some people are really gifted at some of these fps games. i have had amazing rounds at bc2 and be called a hacker. the truth is, if they had watched me play a few rounds, they would have seen that i just have my moments where i play really good.

Must've of been a 2 person server or you were sleeping and had a dream that felt so real you accepted it.

There is a huge difference between 61-2 and 150-3. Especially when a guy is getting headshots with a handgun at 500 yards.

I don't call out people for hacking just for getting killed. I know hacks when I see them. Hell, I had 1300 hours in BC2, platted every weapon (including specact). I've already encountered more hackers in the BF3 beta than the entire time I played BC2.

I've had extremely good rounds as well. It's not hard when you have things going your way, but when a guy is killing you with no line of site or from half way across the map with one shot from an assault rifle, there's something up.

Hopefully punkbuster doesn't cause more problems than it solves. I know BF2 had some issues with it disconnecting people for no reason and causing CTDs.
