Driver won't let me boot up my PC

Thread Starter
I install the Radeon HD 6900 Series driver for my 6970 and whenever I do, I get stuck on the page where it says like F2 to enter BIOS and all that. I absolutely CANNOT get past that page unless I shut off my computer and do CLR CMOS but that reinstalls the basic driver. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a link to an older version of the Radeon HD 6900 driver?

Clearing your Cmos won't change any drivers.....have you tried booting up in safe mode?

Uninstall the driver from safe mode, then download the newest one (which should work) from AMD's site.

I have the newest one, and when I do CLR CMOS it puts back the basic driver. I installed it after installing a fresh copy of Windows

If you are using preview drivers such as Catalyst 11.10 preview, in Control Panel set the UAC (User Account Control settings) set to minimum.

Otherwise, isntall Catalyst 11.9 + Catalyst 11.9 CAP1 (for Crossfire).
