14" screen 720p. 6gb ram (max 8gb). Intel core i5 quad core (2.9ghz turbo) NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. 5 hour battery life. windows 7 home premium. 640 gb hard drive(the only real downside of this)

$725(marked down from $1000)

for the savings you can justify adding a faster hard drive like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822149212

and putting the slower one in an external enclosure like this:

Look here, they seem have great deal on these laptop (Y570 with 15.6in and 555m)

They also have they y470 (14 in screen and a 540m)

Great deal IMO.
