Help needed.. Fried pump? XSPC res with MCP35x - Page 2

Thread Starter
So with all that being said, should I order a new XSPC reservoir & MCP35X and give it another go, or should I go with a different setup all together. I am assuming the MCP35X is going to be a loss at this point, so I am not counting on anything there.

I have a HAF X with a RX360 mounted in the top. Is there a better solution to this without sacrificing another warranty? The only concerns I have are performance/noise. I want a strong pump that has the potential to run another radiator, but I do not want something that is going to be loud, that is why I originally went with the MCP35X.

I would say, as long as you dont mind a bay res, grab the XSPC dual bay res that holds a D5, several brands of D5/MCP655 keep warranty (supposedly, at least that was what I am told) after stock top removal. The XSPC bay res in my HAF X (non vario) running at 17v is DEAD SILENT once bleed and still very quiet when it has bubbles.

koolance is pretty good about the warranty
and the pmp-450 is a d5 vario with a tach sensor, and if i'm not mistaken it can be over volted like the pmp-450s

You don't buy something like a 35x and then pair it with a XSPC bay res. That's two steps forward and one back. Bay res' are noisy because they are poorly decoupled, though they are decent form factor wise. You should really look at using the 35x optional res, or some other cylinder res that screws into one of the best tops made, the 35x stock top.
