Upping Turbo Ratio Gigabyte z68x-ud3h-b3

Thread Starter
I was going to overclock my gigabyte mobo and was following this guide. I was going to just start with the conservative dynamic overclock and ran into a problem. I was trying to change the Turbo Ration (4core) in advanced CPU Core Features and I am unable to change the value. It stays at Auto no matter what I do. Has anyone else ran into this?

Right above the Turbo clock settings, INTEL TURBO BOOST - I'm guessing you have it set to 'Auto'. Change it to 'Enabled'.

try this: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?264847-Ultimate-Sandy-Bridge-OC-Guide-P67A-UD7-Performance-Review

Also for your board, plz raise cpu pwm frequency to +30% and OCp to its highest % and follow that guide

I raised my PWM 28% and OCP 10% and got instant BSOD under load in Windows. At stock values, I'm stable as a rock at 4.8.

It's OK to make suggestions, but realize that not everything that works for you is going to work for everyone else. Best to treat advice as suggestions rather than pleas to follow you down a road that may end in failure.

i have the same board you have it works fine for me. That shouldn't cause a BDOS

infact that increase current, decreases ripple, and allows for more OC headroom.

It was the only variables I changed. As noted, it crashed my system. All I can tell you is what I observed for myself.

then maybe something else changed, or the auto setting already turned up that frequency for the PWm with your current OC more than what you set

I enabled turbo and raised my pwm. In that guide I posted, he is able to change core4 to 43 yet my just stays on auto. I can change all the others but when I try core4 is stays on auto.

Did you try re-flashing the BIOS, maybe its corrupt?

and on your box which the UD3H you bought, are the letters that spell out Z68X-UD3H red or white?
