Corsair XMS3 with ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z

Thread Starter
I bought an ASUS Maximus IV Extreme Z, i5 2500k and a crucial m4 yesterday. I want to install it but only have the Ram from my current build. 16gb of Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 4x4gb. link

Will their be any problems with using this ram for a few weeks untill I can get some better ones?
Lame question, but rather play it safe.

Thanks ocn.

you shouldn't have any problems...you can just keep that ram lol. I know 1.5v and under is recommended but 1.65v DDR3 is fine

Cheers for that. I'd like to do some OC'ing eventually and heard/read some where my current ram isn't that good to oc. Might have to get some vengeance sticks I think!

Yea, I think I heard the same. If you waat some really good overclocking ram look into Muskin RAM. They usually overclock the best.
