Hey guys does anyone know for certain that cleaning off your caps with acetone will not void your motherboard warranty?

DO NOT DO. Acetone is very bad around computer components. If you want to clean them, use 70% or higher rubbing alcohol.

If you are talking about removing the enamel from the tops of the solid caps, then I would have to say yes. If it is any obvious mod, they are basically going to say no.

You could use these and just slide them over it and not shrink them.
