Not an update...but a preview of what is to come!

I ordered a few items from my good friend Nils at MDPC...those that know what they are looking at, will get it..everybody else will see it as a bunch nuts and bolts..that's okay too.

This is what I bought and just received...nothing fancy, gonna hold the fans and take care of my wires...
6/32 screws (plus a few extras not available at our favorite screw vendorDSCF1497.jpg

Some M3 and M4 screws plus extras:
DSCF1499.jpg

A few connectors and wire management:
DSCF1495.jpg

Bit o' heat shrink:
DSCF1504.jpg

Bit o' titanium grey...(pretty sad when mdpc gets it's own storage container now..LOL)
DSCF1503.jpg

And what is it all for? These are my fans//what do you all think of the mounting?
DSCF1501.jpg
(notice the beautiful M4 nuts that are perfectly designed for the Scythe AP-15 fan...along with the amazingly beautiful M4 screws that Nils rushed to me in the following pic:
DSCF1502.jpg

All I can say is thank you Nils...With your help, the AquaCube will go to a level I never dreamed of!

And just because it has to be done (long ski trip from Germany!) For the record, I loved it!!!!

Looking good. I ordered a few nuts and bolts from MDPC-X last week to try out, they do look nice. Nils is a very friendly guy and he sells some top notch stuff. So don't keep us in suspense, let's see some sleeving action. biggrin.gif

Thanks Cesar!

I'm painting the cover that I got back from the laser cutter today. Once that is mounted, I'll be able to make the cables as I will be able to figure out the lengths they need to be. Once they are made and tested, sleeving begins! thumb.gif

Nice stuff lrt. You're really going all out. I drool at the nuts and bolts. I have a smaller case with assorted drive and case screws, but not assorted thumb screws. Sweet.

Are you making all your own cables? Wow, now that's dedication.

Thanks Mergatroid! I appreciate you noticing the effort! No drool in the containers though! Don't want anything to rust! biggrin.gif

Every cable (including the fan cables) will all be custom lengths and custom made. It's time consuming, but to achieve the fit and finish I'm looking for, it has to be done.

I've got a total of 8 of those little containers all for different parts. 1 for LEDs, 1 for m3/m4 screws, 6/32 screws, 2 for pc connectors, etc...they are the only way I can keep myself organized.

Woah LRT actually keeping the bits and pieces in cases is clever!

Im using small baggies to keep all of my screws and such then they're bundled in ziplock bags

Keep it up! the photos look pretty nice too tongue.gif

I like compression fittings for the look, they actually look pretty cool as well, 1/2" tubing is what im going to be doing for my WC setup, the flow rate is quite nice.

EDIT: I love derping up on posts.

I'll be using 7/16ID 5/8OD compression fittings....I like the look of them too. I usually use barbs, but for this build, I'm going for a different look and the compression fittings should fit in really well.
