see this just shows your ignorance of the matter, they did test them on amd cards, even made amd specific changes that THEIR engineers said would allow rage to run better. read the article please. the inhouse drivers they had when testing, worked fine carmack stated, but when it came to launch, nvidia and amd both fumbled. either not releasing the correct drivers, or making changes for another game that messed with them.

And you said "Bethesda made games", so when did they quit making great games, I guess Skyrim is a fail in your book already too?
You know it kills me sometimes, I remember back in like 95 or some crap when the VooDoo Banshee came out, had a 2d and 3d processor on it, I had to make sure all my drivers were always up to snuff on it. SO many people act like this never happens and hardware and software always coexist without issues.
ah yes the "golden" age all these children talk about, but weren't apart of. i remember begging for a voodoo2 and quake 2 and windows 98. only to spend more than a week trying to get them all to work together
i will gladly take some of the problems that we have now days, over the days of the "golden" age.
