Nope..... What happens if you increase the Bclk? 1.23v is pretty good for 3.675ghz. If you have to raise the Vcore a ton to reach 4ghz, I wouldn't think it would be worth it if your games play at decent fps.

Push it as high as your comfortable, temperature and voltage-wise and see what you can get. I personally don't like to run more than 1.425v Vcore and 80c temps fully loaded benching on an i7

There is a huge difference between a 3.8 OC and 4.0 OC. My 930 took 1.2vcore for 4.0 and it needed 1.32 for 4.2 and then 1.39 for 4.4.

I can get 4.0 on 1.28 I think (I've gone 4.0 before but not for long). I just want to know how what temps to keep it at. I don't want it frying on me before the end of next year.

Never let it go above 50 for idle and 85C is max on load. You won't fry it until you reach dangerous temps (100C) or high vcore (1.45+). On a C0, it won't be stable on 4.0 with 1.28 too much. Try it with p95 and if it passes 8-12 hours, I'd call it stable

Its almost always at 50c idle, even now... I might go tomorrow to get some new thermal grease and try to reseat my h50.

I recommend MX-4 and only use a dot.

Ok, I think what I did wrong was I screwed the water block holder too far, so when I twisted it it smeared the paste and thinned it out.

I twist my SA a bit when I put it in. My temps are way within reasonable temps. 35C idle

I would keep it at the current overclock. The real question is what are your load temps.
On water my idle temps are about 37C and load is 55C. If you are under 60C load it might be worth it to try and go for it, otherwise keep it at the current oc imo.

Disabling HT is always an option too if you're not running heavily threaded apps. You can cut about 5C or more at load without HT. If you're primarily gaming you won't see a performance difference.
