[MobileMedia] Google Postpone Nexus Prime to Respect Jobs - Page 7

I am all about honoring the visionary Steve Jobs. I think all companies should in some small way.

I just do not understand how delaying a phone release announcement honors him.

Like others said, not even Apple is delaying their new phone.

Batman Arkham City comes out a little over a week away. Should the release of that be delayed to honor him?

Make the O's on www.google.com apples or something. Something like that is what I would expect to honor him.

Edit: And no I am not a Apple fanboy, I own a Captivate before any nerds go off accusing me...
So it's disrespectful to release a phone and not to treat him like a genius?

I like how you basically ignored every answer to your first post and only noticed that one not-so-relevant post.
Impressive.

That's because it doesn't. If anything, releasing the phone in the spirit of competition would be more of an honor, but Samsung and Google need exposure and they're simply not going to get it this week.

Except by announcing that they're delaying the announcement. Which they did. And they got it.

Not nearly as much as having the announcement in the first place

Exactly!

OR

Even better yet, at the event Oct 11 have a HUGE tribute video. Google and Samsung CEO's speak their words about Jobs, moment of silence...the whole nine yards..... THEN.. get into the new phone release.

That's how you pay your respects to him if you ask me.

To be quite honest bro. I don't feel like going through pages to find what I said, and then finding peoples replies. I just happened to look at the latest page and comment.

1. Who cares if Steve Jobs died? Hundreds of thousands of people die every day, people that were extraordinary people. Why would Steve Jobs be as if he was some type of God? He wasn't. Sure he has made great products, but I don't think everyone should stop what they're doing because he died. Move on already.

I'm sorry but I just spit out my food. That was probably the funniest comment I've ever seen on here.

I'm not a huge fan of Apple or Steve Jobs but we'd be carrying around Moto Q's if Apple didn't make everyone step up there game. How this makes Steve Jobs so great, I'm not sure, but it does make the thousands of research and dev Apple did very important. I'm something as simple as multi-touch and pinch to zoom was not used. Android looked like Blackberry OS before iPhone, and Windows Mobile was only usable on an HTC device/skin.

You have to see this somewhat.

Get out.
Blackberries serve a purpose, maybe just not the things you want it to do.
