[MobileMedia] Google Postpone Nexus Prime to Respect Jobs - Page 8

I love Jobs but,
Its' pretty obvious the delay was for another reason.

This cover up reason is just good for publicity.

I'm not a huge fan of Apple or Steve Jobs but we'd be carrying around Moto Q's if Apple didn't make everyone step up there game. How this makes Steve Jobs so great, I'm not sure, but it does make the thousands of research and dev Apple did very important. I'm something as simple as multi-touch and pinch to zoom was not used. Android looked like Blackberry OS before iPhone, and Windows Mobile was only usable on an HTC device/skin.

You have to see this somewhat.

Looks very much like the Android you see now today...

Dude Blackberries are the worse phone I've ever used. They are an IT nightmare and blackberry internet service is the worse thing I've seen. We were able to setup the 70 iPads we ordered for sales staff way easier then any Blackberry. The freeze up, the OS is terrible, and you never know the BIS username because some idiot at Verizon set it up because the sales guy didn't call you first to set it up. So you can get the password emailed to you using the PIN but not the username. NOO you have to call in Verizon so they will give you that because they never use the same thing. Sometimes it's the phone number, sometimes it's the crap I took yesterday. Who knows. Noone in my IT dept wants to troubleshoot them and every time I hear someone mention a trackball I take the phone and flush it down the toilet and give them something else. I don't even care. I can't stand Blackberries and the Google syncing is terrible, the keyboards are impossible to type on. It's a recessed piece of crap. I physically cannot put a password in on those things. It has to be some sort of joke.

We can't phase them fast enough at work. I do the Verizon account at work and I only order Android, iPhones and WP7 devices. Nobody actually wants a Blackberry it's just that that's all there was really. Although we did use a lot of Palm devices which were good.

The OS has gotten better in the past few months because they are bleeding market share. Why are they bleeding market share? At least Apple and Google made them step up there game. RIM stayed stagnant for years. They didn't even try.

The G1 was released on 2008.

I was there dude. I was big into Java when it was in beta.

I was doing programming back in the day at school. This was part of the sdk.

Don't over think it people. It's like announcing you're pregnant at a someones funeral. You just don't do it.

The technology news sections are currently cluttered with Apple / Jobs stories; it's a horrible time to release a product.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs

1.Steve's death was the day after release of 4S
2.Nexus Prime sales would look very disasters if they have similar release date. So why not "act respectful" meanwhile earn some reputation? Because it is forgiveable and pity to have have bad sales when you have the reputations. (If they released regardless and the sales got owned, they would have bad sale and have a bad image. Such a nice marketing strategy.)
3.Delaying phone because of one's death is plain stupid

Eric Schmidt was friends with Jobs. If my friend had died, I'd want people to focus on his life rather than what I was doing
