My Zotac Gtx 570 Amp! Temps...

Thread Starter
I returned my Diamond HD 6850 2gb (Unlocked and clocked at 6970 speeds) for a Zotac Gtx 570 Amp! It was hizzing/buzzing so I had to return it. This new card has no hizz/buzz problem.

My card is currently clocked at 850/1700/2100 @ 1.025v. Idle temps are around 36c, load temps when playing Dirt 3 around 80c... is this safe/normal?

Thats good for an OC'd card. If it gets more on the way to 90*C I would turn up the fan some.
Yes, while 80C isn't ideal, it is perfectly safe. You will want to worry if temps go above 90C on a regular basis.

If you want better temps, create a custom fan profile in MSI afterburner, and make sure the card is getting cool air to intake.

That is perfectly normal with the cruddy stock auto-fan settings, safe? -- doubt it.

Get Nvidia System tools and have the fans ramp up with the temps. I can get 69 C with 65% fan with OC.

You should turn on User defined fan automatic control setting just to increase fan's RPM abit more faster smile.gif in afterburner ofcourse.
Btw Zotac has 2 type of this Amp version, which one is yours? the one with stock cooling reference GTX570 or the one with cooling just like in reference GTX560Ti does (fan position is in the middle of the card.
My friend has Zotac GTX570 Amp with cooling same like GTX560Ti and yup the temps are hotter.
Here check this link in Zotac official web : http://www.zotac.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=100254&lang=ap

Wow tyvm for the fast responses... and yes I have the one with the fan in the middle just like the new gtx 560 ti...

I'm going to play with msi ab custom fan profile... any suggestions or examples?
-some one bet me to it, yes use a FAN profile set up in MSI afterburner.
I've got mine all oc'd and have never seen temps 70c or over. My fans are set to 80 percent to 100 percent on any temp over 60c. (The fans are really quiet and small so I set them high)
Your temp's are very normal and you have a better oc than my crappy one's tongue.gif
post #9 of 20
Yes its ok to set higher RPM on this card because like Neo Morpheus says it is really quiet not like my dual fans on MSI GTX570TFII OC when hits 70% it starting to noisy ^_^ lol.
Once I had Zotac GTX560Ti OC and the fan was quiet even I set 100% smile.gif

I overclocked to exact same config as you. Strange, my 570 maxed out at 63 full load on auto.
