This makes me very very sad face.

As much as I hate the idea of always on DRM my love for Stalker is too great for me to even care about this.

I don't see how this ever happens. Who is the retard that tells game companies that DRM is a good idea for the customers? Do they not have the capability to read and see that their gay attempts are squashed EVERY time in a short amount of time? Do they not see revenue lost pursuing the DRM development and the resulting loss in customers? Do they not know that people DON'T ALWAYS LIVE IN AN URBAN AREA WITH CHEAP BROADBAND??? I live in rural Iowa and this is completely ridiculous. If i come across a game that i like and it has this DRM I WILL PIRATE IT JUST IN SPITE. I don't care what anyone says about that, its just blatant stupidity to initiate such DRM. Leave it at a key and a one-time authorization maybe.

Only the original STALKER had that unquantifiable magic. The rest of the series were OK games. But they really lacked something from SoC. Plus STALKER 2 will be hampered, as it has to run on consoles also.

Always on DRM hasn't done Ubisoft any favours.

Its not like they are doing much against it either. People that want a game for nothing will get it for nothing if they are smart enough. Like others always point out, you can't stop piracy just like you can't stop any other forms of thievery. Angering your customers will not help your situation only turn them away.

To be fair, neither are DRMs. The legit consumers suffer from this while other folks will find a workaround. I'm starting to think companies are simply trying to make pirates feel guilty.

Either way, my connection is hardly down. I'll buy Stalker 2 if it's good. Games are meant to be entertainment so if I enjoy it, no reason not to get it. However, I do feel the pain for folks with weaker connections. I was there a few years ago with Comcast.

Haha too true, really no reason to pay for this. Pirating is a better experience and it's free. They didn't want your money , and if they did they shouldn't have put DRM on the game.

Won't buy unless theres a Steam version with the DRM removed.

After it hits the $10-$15 price, they'll most likely remove the DRM anyway.
