Someone please start a GTX 560 (non-ti) Owners Club thread!

Admittedly this GPU (the Geforce GTX 560) was not as popular out of the gate as the 460, and the 560 ti has been pretty popular (albeit pricey compared to the 460 variants)...

BUT, prices have come down, and even NVIDIA themselves thinks that the non-ti 560 will be quite popular once its price hits the sweet spots formerly occupied by the 460 cards.

I happen to have two 560s in SLI, and I'd like to be able to better compare my performance with others with the same setups. That info is kinda hard to find... And you might think that the "560 Vanilla" really isn't much more than a tarted up 460 1gb, but when one of these is aggressively overclocked, it does indeed occupy a performance level around that of the GTX 470 and the 560 ti. In single card setup, my 560 OCs to 975/4400, and in SLI I get to 925/4250.

So if someone could start a GTX 560 Vanilla Owners Club thread, I'll definitely be one of the first members.

I don't own Ti cards. It's a different GPU, with quite a few different overall specs. Unless of course the Ti club can be renamed to full support both variants of the GTX 560.

... And, as I previously said, even NVIDIA thinks this particular Fermi variant will become quite popular over time due to price shifts; and I'm tending to agree with them.

I'm sure it will become more popular when the 460 is harder to find new, but maybe I'm wrong. What clocks have you hit on yours?

But the 400 series owners didn't have to get all grouped together like that. So, no, that's not a good idea IMO.

If I wanna find info on clocks, temps and user experiences for non-ti cards in that thread then I gotta sift through the vast majority of posts about 560 ti 570 580 and 590 owners. Bleh.

There's no reason you can't start it yourself if you want a club for only your exact card, or you could just use what's already available. For example they have identical performance as a 460 1gb clock for clock and they have just about identical frequency limits as the 560ti.

I'm not here as much as I'd like to be, and mounting health problems would keep me from being able to maintain any sort of owners club here.

Well, could the current 560 ti club just get renamed as the 560 club so it can include all variants? That would put it on par with the 460 club as far as granularity is concerned (since the two 460 variants are quite different as well spec-wise). I guess I'll PM the founder of that thread.

I'm not trying to create any sort of stink, I just want to see this GPU properly represented and not shoved under the rug, and I do believe it deserves a bit more attention by value-conscious enthusiasts. It might be similar to GTX 460 performance-wise, but it's a newer model with different features (such as the power circuitry, generally better memory and higher overclocking potential), its price will make it quite a bit more attractive real soon, and it makes for quite a mean SLI setup, especially when overclocked past what the old 460s could generally attain.

Well I hope you get the club you'd like but I have to disagree that it's a good for value-conscious enthusiasts, it's still priced far too high in relation to a 460 1gb for it to be recommended over it. It's really only about 3-4% faster on average at each card's respective max clocks but it costs like 25%+ more. The 460 is an excellent value currently that's hard to beat for price/performance, but maybe by the time the 460 becomes harder to find the 560 will be at a more appropriate price.
