Not sure if this is a real GT 240

Thread Starter
I am looking for a cheap gpu, and I only have $36, I found this GT 240 new on ebay, and I was wondering if this is a scam, and the drivers say they only work in 32 bit. Thats fine for me, but what if I want to upgrade? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-1G-1-G-G...item27be5682ca

Yes it is, and if you want to upgrade later on the road thanksfully you only bought a $35 card. BTW it says that you can return it if you don't recieve the product in the description.

PS: I just bought a fan pack from this same seller.

Thanks for all the help, I think I will order the videocard, unless I can find some more cash for that $46 GT 250.

My feeling is if you can go $45 go to EVGA STORE >FEATURE PRODUCTS > B-STOCK the refurbished GT240 512 DDR5 128 is $40 + about $5 ship.
512 GB DDR5 is much better than 1GB DDR3. EVGA has HMDI rather than S-Video.
GT240 1 GB DDR5 is $50+ shipping
Just saying [someome please add links]

I don't think you should buy this GT 240. You should pay a little more to get a brand-name card like EVGA or ASUS or even an OEM card like a Dell or HP card. I once got a Geforce2 GTS from ebay and the page said something like "DELL NVIDIA GEFORCE2 GTS 32MB AGP" which is still safe, but this auction I don't think it's safe.

There's a problem. We don't know who made it. It doesn't say an card vendor's name (like EVGA and ASUS) on the card or an PC vendor's name (like Dell and HP) on the auction, and it does not have an real NVIDIA logo so I don't think it's real. It may work for a day or a week but then it will stop working, and then you don't know who made it to call customer support.
