This link has all the info you'll need:

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/mem...-sandy-bridge/

I'm running the G.skill Ripjaws-X 1866 8GB kit at 1T at stock voltage (1.5v), works great.

no way in hell its worth it, to put the gains in perspective - i probably spent more time typing this post then you would save by upgrading your ram and having your computer run slightly faster in your entire lifetime.

even buying hobos crack would be better use of your money tbh

lol..

I guess new rams are out of option.

One thing by the way, like i said i'm running my 1333 9-9-9-24 on 1600 9-9-9-24. Is it wrong to overclock the frequency without messing with the timings?

Should i put it on 1333 again?

If it is stable at 1600Mhz might as well leave it. It is slightly higher performance, just not noticeable the way a new gpu, cpu, or ssd would be.
Something that took 10 seconds to run at 1333 might take 9.95 seconds at 1600, faster but you'll never notice it.

Thanks for the information

I'll just leave it like that then.

Hey guys, one last question.

Which one would you get?

2 x 4 Gb KIT 2000 MHz @ 9-10-9-27 - 1.65v (Includes fan)

2 x 4 Gb KIT 1866 MHz @ 9-10-9-27 - 1.5v

To remind you guys that i'm currently on 2 x 4 Gb KIT 1333 MHz @ 9-9-9-24

I know in previous posts people said that it would be better to buy a SSD, i know.

But memory wise, would any of those kits be worth it? The 2000 MHz kit is twice the price of the 1866, and i think those timings are a bit weird, i don't know.

Anyway, worth it? By worth it i mean, will i get "relevant" improvements on games comparing those kits with the one i'm currently using?

Thanks.
