Bulldozer is looking more and more like an epic fail to me... but I'm gonna wait till the actual release and some official benchmarks till I decide for myself.

I kinda wanted AMD to own... I've been hoping for a decent AMD powered rig for years...

Its not $100 cheaper because it is going to blow Intel away.

It gets about 126 GFlops if I use the AVX enabled version. I was using the version without AVX support to keep the comparison fair to the FX-8120

The results are unbelievably bad, right? Unbelievably. Unbelievable. Faked. You're getting too worked up and making too big a deal about extremely suspect numbers.

any ways OT, wow even my athlon at 3.52 ghz gets 42 gflops something is wrong with those benchmarks obviously.

Bulldozer would be a complete waste for AMD to release at these performance figures. This would be much worse than the Phenom launch. At least they actually took a step forward with Phenom. This would be two steps back. So these numbers don't add up at all. They are either fake or there's a bug somewhere.

So I guess nobody is expecting anything more than mediocre performance from these CPUs.

im leaning to bug in software or an actual bug in the cpu that AMD couldnt fix before release,i dont trust every leak but i do find it hard to believe that every leaker has the exact same motive to make AMD look bad(unless AMD is behind it in the most secretive fud campaign in the history of misinformation)
but JF has stated that AMD doesnt do misinformation(or was that just marketing misinformation)biggrin.gif

Hopefully nothing as "serious" as the TLB (or TBL) bug in the first gen Phenoms (or was it the mobos?).
