You have to wait for a sale. They had (or still have) Crysis Maximum Edition for $9.99 ... can't beat that! If you can't wait then, I guess you should get your games elsewhere.

agreed steam is expensive, but you can't choose this example. the steam version is in dollars while the other one is in rupees.... here in australia, a gtx 460 costs like 200 bucks, while in america it costs like 100 to 150 dollars (even though our dollar is stronger) so if you gave an example from the US saying it was 17 bucks, then it would've made lot more sense....

sorry to go off topic, but yeah steam is expensive cause usually they sell games at the normal retail value, and have a lot bigger profit ( i believe!!!) than local shops...

You found something cheaper one place over another? Wow, I didn't know places sold things for different prices.

Protip: steam sells for MSRP most of the time.

Good old economics.

Makes little since how you buy BF3 for $60 here, but you can can buy the key for it for $27 from a russian website. It's weird.

until christmas rolls around

And the lesson is: save your money until the summer or christmas sales on steam, or watch the daily/weekend deals for something you desire.

OP doesn't seem to understand the concept of MSRP and how different businesses have sales.
