EK SLI 580 coolant bridge

Thread Starter
So im about to pick up another 580 and will be water cooling it just as my current one. i was wondering if anyone had exp with the coolant bridges between cards, it seems like its a give and take as far as serial and parallel. I would think the serial would give more overall flow to the cards but yet the parallel would give each card fresh coolant. has anyone ever compared the dif between the 2? I have the variable mcp-655 pump which i have considered putting a transformer on to bump it up to 18v or so if i indeed went parallel.

Also EK apparently recently changed their 580 blocks, they look the exact same except the fins over the gpu. Anyone know if the spacing and everything is the same and will work in sli with a original series?

This parallel Blocks and temps simple test and SLI/Crossfire multi-GPU flow setups: Paralel vs. Serial are good places to read about comparisons.

I use the EK parallel bridge for my 580, and I saw about a 4-5C decrease over seriel. *don't judge my messy setup *
