My cheap Notebook to bad for CS 1.6 w/100fps ?

Thread Starter
hello guys, hope im right here for my question.

I got a cheap cheap notebook for nothing, using it for work and browsing mainly.

Pentium B940 2x2Ghz
2Gb Ram
Intel HD Graphics 3000
Win 7

I tryed some very old games, Stronghold 2 was very playavble maxed out (even with AA), also Gothic 2 and GTA:SA .

But my problem is Counter Strike 1.6 (10y old), its unplayable, fps from 30fps to 100fps on a full server. the frames dropping very low when I see an enemy or teammate. Settings: Opengl, 800x600.

Screen on empty lan game, nothing on the screen and only 60fps:

Are the specs really to bad for this old game? I need 100fps constant in this game.

Rep to all helpers.

Maybe the Intel HD 3000 does not have good OpenGL support? Also why do you need 100fps your laptop screen is only going to be 60Hz.

No, not maxed, 800x600.

Its not only with opengl, also with d3d.

Drivers are all up2date, other old games running fine.

Cs 1.6 without 100fps is unplayable....

What are you talking about? anything above 30 fps is playable. xD FPS is capped at the refresh rate of your monitor which is more than likely 60FPS.

But sorry I have no idea why you are getting lag spikes. :/
