Depends on the situation. iPhone 4 is only offered in 16 and 32GB flavours while the 4S offers a 64GB model.

Seeing that a lot of people use their iPhones as cameras and music players, wouldn't it make sense for the heavy users that need more storage to buy a bigger model that is only offered through an upgrade?

Specs wise it's pretty much on-par with SGSII. A5 should be able to match Exynos. Camera is on par. Smaller screen but higher pixel count. The most important distinction is that iOS5 is built for casual users, sleek and simple. While Android allows a great amount of customizations, casual users probably won't take advantage of it.

I went with the SGSII so that I can mess with it. Not to mention AMOLED display is absolutely gorgeous. Why can't they make a 24" monitor with it

I was being sarcastic, because people are acting like going from a single core to a dual core doesn't mean anything.

The iPhone 4 and its screen are amazing. They didn't have to redesign the whole case because it's classic.

People are also ignoring the fact there is only ONE phone now. Well ok, there are 6. But there used to be 12. By combining the radios people have more options. Sprint, AT&T or Verizon, without buying a new phone. It also makes them A LOT easier to resell.

Like others have mentioned. If they would have just called it the 5 most people would shut up. It may be twice as fast but it doesn't say 5 so obviously it's not an improvement. I think from now on when I say iPhone 4 I'll hold up 4 fingers.

How is this selling so much? The features aren't new, they've been on the market forever... Android has already meet these specs and more... I guess people DO just want a simple interface a good looking device...

In what world does something insignificant as this make your faith in humanity die a little, and when can I move there?

Well I am glad all of OCN is not blinded by hate, although a lot of users are.

In any case, iPhone 4S is a great upgrade for those having the 3GS or earlier.
And overall, the phone itself is still definitely a strong competitor versus other smartphones in its category; the brightness and size of the screen size do not account for everything; battery life, speed of the device, apps (and OS) are, if anything, more crucial.

either I get the 4s (I'm due for an upgrade using an lg rumor 2)

Or get a Samsung GSII with one of the most despised providers, with the worst customer service in the world.
