It turns out that Newark is a Premier Farnell subsidiary. As is MCM. So you can buy from Newark/Premier/Farnell/MCM worldwide. I bought most of my Sanyo Denki fans from Newark.

But I bought my PWM 9S1212P4M011's from Tonar. I think Arrow distributes San Aces as well. Look around. There are probably others.

Originally I was going to get a FT02 but I didn't want to pay that $240 price tag knowing I could get better which is what brought me to here. Right now I'm looking for fans that match or surpass the AP 181's in terms of CFM to dBA that can move at least 100 CFM of air at a noise of 30 dBA or lower. It's hard to do since the AP 181 is a 180mm fan and usually the larger the fan, the more air it can move at lower noise levels but I'm sure there are fans out there that can. Requirements are the following if you're too lazy to read the paragraph above or just want a brief list of what I'm looking for.

-$20> (can stretch)
-30dBA (35dBA at most)
-100 CFM (100 CFM is minimum. If it's something like 99.87 CFM or something in the 95+ range, it would be acceptable)
-120 or 140mm

Thanks.

-Hybrid-
This is what i bought -got 2 for 16$ volume discount is great.

Along with scythe gentle typhoon, these Akasa APACHE fans must be one of the best performing 120mm fans out on sale at the minute.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=FG-061-AK

i have one on my CPU, along with another 120mm fan they keep it nice and cool and above all quiet! Very very quiet.

Edit - Sorry I didnt see the 100CFM requirement. Erm..The 140mm version of the apache offers 89CFM.

I appreciate its not 100CFM, but if it was me I would buy it based on what its 120mm brother does so well.

I'm aware. It's a great fan but it doesn't move enough air. I just wish all fans were standard and that the blades could be changed...maybe even the rotor.

Akasa AK-FN063 140mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan

110CFM, 26dB...obviously they wont be 100% accurate specs, but still one to consider.

I didn't know the CFM's and dBA levels were different. Thanks. Will a layer or two of Krylon Fusion degrade performance?
